Tired little wings

This flying solo business is proving to be exhausting. The kids are playing up, we all have the sniffles and coughs, and the house looks like a cyclone has just swept through it. The afternoons have been such hard work, with both the kids being their usual tired and grumpy selves and then not having a extra set of hands for the evening shift has meant that the whole, bed, bath night routines are slower than usual! Any tasks from my other job gets a look in after they are in bed, or put on the tomorrow list. So if you are waiting to hear back from me about something, I haven't forgotten you.

There has been lots of fun and exciting adventures for tsk tsk however. Some I can't mention, but some I can. I'm now selling some prints on Modamuse. Hope to have a few more things there very soon. If you haven't been to this site before, it is well worth the click. Plenty of lovely things to see from some very talented people.

flying solo

Whilst Mr N is enjoying tapas and schanpps on the other side of the world we are trying our best to keep the household happy, the meals easy and the work flow in order.

Over the last 3 days we have been

playing butterflies,

cleaning garages,

watching funny movies (well I have),

making pizza and having pizza picnic's in the family room,  spending time with friends for birthdays,

eating sushi rolls and home made apple pie...(thanks Mr N for that. It is yum!)

I even broke out the sewing machine!!!

Critter Garden

I almost forgot to post this. Critter garden and critter hearts is the design that has been selected for the sprout design fabric range to be launched for preview later this year in Melbourne. Just to clarify any confusion, the previous two designs were my other submissions and might be apart of the range down the track. Small steps people!

weekend wonders

We always avoid the big annual city show. I hate big crowds, and hate wasting so much money on junk as well as coming home with some awful bug/flu that will live in our house for the rest of the week.

We opted for a less expensive, less crowded version this weekend at a local show. The kids still ate their share of junk, but so far no one has fallen sick.

They spent their piggy money on some rides and we took a bank loan out to pay for the rest. why are show rides so expensive??? That's Mr N telling the kids they have enough for 3 rides.

The rest of the weekend was spent working and cooking. Mr A loves cooking and he makes a great salad and salad dressing...for a 5 year old.

not today

today was meant to be a work day. My daycare mum had to cancel.

So Miss M and I are hanging out (quite literally..cheeky monkey) as best we can. I've relocated my computer to the "outdoor studio!" to be closer to her....and i don't have to walk as far to every little drink/food/volume on TV/craft request.

dotty dolls

this could be the laziest post I've ever written.

But I am enjoying the absence of words.

Another design for Sprout design fabrics...final selection to come next.

Little Nesters

Remember the post about the fabric design I was participating in for Sprout Design?

Well, since then, I have been playing around with the design that was chosen because I needed to also design a coordinating fabric. So what you saw originally isn't going to be the final design.

Do you want to see it?

Well I will show you all in good time. In the meantime I thought I would just tease you a little with some of the other designs I submitted. Colours and proportions for all of these will be finalised/changed. Showing them in in black and white is a little boring I think.

If you have any questions about the release of the range then go to One Small Room website for more info for now.

This one is called Little Nesters.

Lotta, Pony girl and Patricia.

finally I have a few moments on this mother's day to catch up on my very long list of things to do. I'm enjoying my day by the way. Lovely little presents received. Breakfast in bed, followed by tickles with both the kiddies. I can't escape the washing that is heaped up in piles everywhere and I don't trust anyone else in the household to do it!

So before the little munchkins come home from their bike rides in the park with Mr N, I will get back to the list.

Now available in the shop are 3 original paper dolls, Lotta, Pony girl and Patricia.

wool tease

I'm stuck as to what to write here.

This is my third attempt.

I just have too much to think about and promises to myself that still need completing.

I've been taking plenty of photos of wool for a client. Bags full of yarn in all different colours and shapes are sitting here looking at me...oh it is like bags full of lollies or sweets sitting around waiting to be eaten.

Except I have to give them back in perfect condition.

It's torture I tell you. But I am having fun.

Oh, and to satisfy all you woolly freaks out there, these balls are from the Rich More range. Mohair, Count 5.
