matryoshka dreaming
I've been really inspired by Matryoshka dolls. I had some when I was little and maybe one day I'll get around to buying some more..its just seeing the right ones at the right price. Here's my messy desk in poor lighting and next to it one of many crazy ideas I have right now that is causing me to be a very moody artist!

The other day I saw beautiful original matrioskas, in a russian shop, set up as a supermarket for immigrants here in Portugal.
There were traditional ones and another type with the pictures of communist icons. They were really nice! I really wanted to buy some, but didn't know anyone who would like it!

I'm delighted to have discovered your blog and etsy shop through Print & Pattern. I'm rushing along now, but will be back to read more as soon as I can!

My girlfriend is babushka/matroyshka doll mad and would LOVE that apron. Are you going to start printing fabric too? Have you seen what Kirin Notebook, Aunty Cookie and Cheeky Beaks are doing? I would buy, buy, buy dolly fabric. You are so talented! I also love the crochet squares - a lovely natural take on an old fave. They look very you...
