disjointed
so I thought I was on the mend..until I went to the physiotherapist. I've been having back pains for most of the year, and have just been ignoring them. living with it, soldiering on in the best way a mother knows how. "I'll go next week" I kept saying. Well I should have gone 40 weeks ago, because one of my ribs is dislocated. Oh its fun. 'Uppy uppy mamma" "spin me around mamma" "ring a ring a rosie mamma" Sorry for the whinge, but as I STILL DON'T have my voice back completely, I've been restricted with letting my frustrations out in my normal way and there have been many a broken nights sleep in this house for the last 2 weeks.
What happened to my blog about about art and craft and illustration and design and aesthetics and all the visually pleasing things in life? Sometimes I think, I don't want a post about all the crappy stuff, but I can't help but tell it as it is. I'm a straight up type of girl. Then there is that side of me as I re-read this that says, 'what are you complaining about? This really is nothing compared to what many people go through all their lives.'
On a lighter note....
We have made a start on some Christmas decorations. I'm trying very hard this year to use up materials from my stash. And I am really pleased to be having a lot of interest in my artwork which is getting me in a new creative frame of mind again.
OK, whinge post over. Sometimes you have got to let it out. Hope i didn't scare you away!

that's what we are here for, to lend you and eye when you need to let it all out. And, its takes the pressure of hubby too! Anyway, your bunting inspired me so I went to spotlight and bought some stripes and spots in red and I have managed to convince Mr greenolive to help me make the bunting. Yay!

didn't scare me at all - quite the contrary. Being real on your blog is where it's at - anyway who could ignore a dislocated rib and weeks of sleepless nights - I hope that it all gets better soon x

I think telling it like it is is really important! It's important for your psyche and others too. It's comforting for us to know that we ALL have times like that! Hope you're feeling better soon.
I was cheered to read that you are using your stash up! I'm trying to do that too!!! Good luck with all things creative.

Oh Tiel. I think sometimes I self-censor in the fear that I'll become one of those blogs that just moans all the time. But sometimes things just do suck and it is perfectly fine and human to write about that. Get better. Be gentle to yourself.

Whinge away! Just because worse things are happening to other people doesn't mean a sodding thing, it is your life and you're entitled to not enjoy it sometimes. In fact, I felt quite relieved to find someone else isn't having a complete sunshine and happiness time as well!

As I am not even sure how you can dislocate a rib, can I just say OUCH! You poor thing, it sounds awful.
Also, the matrioshka christmas trio arrived safe and sound - thank you!
Best,
Claudia

Oh hell, we've all got to let it hang out somewhere. Pain clouds everything else. Hope yours is sorted soon.

I’m not scared that easily! I know all about back problems. Take care Tiel! I think a lot of ‘us bloggers’ are considering to have computer/blogfree days so we can go on with the artsy/crafty stuff!! I hope fysiotherapy will help, a dislocated rib can hurt very badly!

Hello Tiel again. I just read your "post" now and not resisted to write you a few more words.
You are in those days .... You must move forward and not give much importance to what goes in your head. I hope that you be better quickly, as though not already empowered to make big play with your children, this is what they expect from you, so you have to recover quickly. A big kiss, sometimes we feel well just say everything that goes on in our head, is not it?
A kiss Isabel

I hope you feel better soon, so you can go on with your crafting!

Good on you for venting your frustrations. I'm all for telling it like it is. I personally think people appreciate honesty in others (good or bad) rather than those who pretend life is good all of the time, 'cause we all know that's not the case.
And just so you know, you definitely haven't scared me off.
