big bags, big world

why does it always rain just as you drop the kids off at school or kindy? Once they are inside, the sun comes out, but it starts to rain again when it is time to go home. Even when I was going to school I remember that it would be fine and clear, until the bell rang to go out.

So we started the day in a way I wasn't expecting. Rain and sickness. Mr A is sick with a bug, so I spent the morning juggling the sick bowl with him whilst putting on my happy face for Miss M's first big day for kindy. Poor little man stayed in the car while I dropped her in to begin the day. It's days like this I wish I had a parent just around the corner.

So now I feel rather sad that she has stepped out into the big world on her own. I have no hesitations about how she will feel and fit in. I just realise now that for the first time ever, she no longer has her brother or me holding her hand to do things. Infact what has hit me the most is knowing that she and Mr A will start to do things separately from now on. They are so close in everything they do.

Now if you are thinking there is going to be a post tomorrow about art or craft..WRONG! Pending sickness, it is Mr A's big day tomorrow so there will be the obligatory happy snap of my other child with an oversized bag on his back.

My GOD, that bag is huge !!!

:)

very cute hair, and I love the stars.

Hope your little boy is feeling better for his big day tomorrow.... How was your little princess' first day of school??

oooooh...she is so cute!! We've all the sickies too. Hope everyone is on the mend soon!! xox

Your daughter looks so cute. Very girly, independent and tomboyish at the same time. Love her style. She si coming from a great family and will be a start at the kindy.
Not having the family around (closest 6 hour drive) is why we are waiting to have #2. You are awesome for juggling it all by yourself.

Hope she had a great time. Girls just can't travel light...
Thanks for visiting my blog!

That's a HHUUUUUGE bag! I think she looks well prepared. Cute hair x

She looks all ready to go! It's so much harder on us than them in some ways. Little chicks flying the nest. Hope she had a wonderful day.

Big girl, Big step into the world. I hope she will have a wonderful time at school. She will manage, you’re her mother! Take care, you will manage too!!

This is really a big bag for a little girl! :)

OMG...Miss A has the same Kindy bag by PS!!! I have a smaller version as my bag for the baby's bits & bobs too. Love, love, love stars...

I only just said 1/2 an hour ago why does it always rain at school drop-off/pick-up times?

Awwww...I can only imagine what it is like...and I'm sure the reality is far more difficult. She looks a real sweety with that massive bag on her back - I guess it's akin to the first steps out of the nest. I hope the icky sickness leaves the nest mighty quick!

I hope she has a wonderful day (very cute hair!) and I hope the sickness goes away quickly.

I hope your daughter has a wonderful first day of school. And I hope your son feels much better very soon!

I am very lucky that I do have my parents around the corner (extra lucky really, seeing as though we are all originally from Victoria). I will remember to give my mum an extra big hug when I see her tomorrow, and tell her how much I appreciate having her around. You have reminded me not to take her for granted :)
