Bring on the night..and curtains too!
do you ever write a post, then read it, and then delete it because it just seems too long winded? I started typing all this info about how I want to decorate with curtains, then thought to myself, "who really cares?"
So I'll just include some pics with a few basic words.
Firstly, I want to replace the blinds in our room with curtains. I'm thinking of this sample here. Bottom left. The rest of the shots are just elements from the room. I'm boring conservative when it comes to colour in my sleeping space.
Secondly I need to add new window dressings to Miss M's room, because the blinds just aren't working very well. It is so hard to choose..I'm not good when it comes to deciding on a big scale. Maybe the dotted one? I made the new cushion with the black flower, just have to sew it up and found the stripy sheets on sale for 50% off! Bargain.
And now for something completely different...... this is where Mr N and I'll be tonight. My first concert in over a year!!!

i think both blind fabric choices are spot on. the first gives some subtle colour but harmonises well with your other bedroom elements (and i agree with some restful colours in bedrooms!). the dots are fun but won't be too much of a dictator if/when you are updating sheets and things. nice job!

I love the subtle blue stripes and conservative/boring is a good thing. Feng shui wise, you should have a calming, soothing space to sleep in.

I like your sleeping-space-colour-combinations, so smooth and calming, great!!
In Miss Ms room I would choose a pattern-less curtain in a deep berry-red just to get the effect to cooooooool down, when night comes ;)
And hurray to Police!!

Looove the spots- where do you find your furnishing fabrics? I've just moved to Brisbane, and need some clues. Hope you had a great time at the concert...the Police are a little before my time :)

That polka dot would make great curtains! Love it! And I love the light you get in that window!

Your room isn't boring/conservative whatsoever, it appears fit for sleeping to me. I love that curtain fabric and the spotty window covering for your daughter.
Sting is in my dreams - please post a story about the him, oh and the concert!

Oh I like long posts on curtains and window treatments. I am stumped as to what I am going to do in my house. And does that ticket say row B??? Please do a post on the concert and being that close to Sting!

Curtains are the best!!! The Police aren't bad either.

I love your choice of curtain... for my little one I used some black-out lining. Magical stuff. Nothing comes through that!!
And how was the concert?
