mild panic attacks

This business of having your kids at shcool AND kindy is amazingly good. I am getting soooo much done. Mind you, I have the odd panic attack every now and then feeling as though I have forgotten to get the kids. The house is so quiet for so long and I keep on feeling like I should be picking them up earlier than need be.

This feeling probably won't  last long.

I do enjoy going to get them. Seeing their faces and hearing their stories. Such  a buzz.

So, I'm illustrating and filling in orders this week. Hopefully I'll have plenty to show in a few more days. These cards are heading over to Threads and More.

With all the amazing links and suggestions people have been sending me, I have been sitting here at my computer clicking away. So many wonderful places I will try to get to. One particularly helpful blogger, gave me a link to Hand made Heaven. They are located in Amsterdam. It looks like such a lovely shop.

And check out their links section. I have started to (can't be here all day), and found Woon Karavaan.

new look

It's raining.

we are spending the weekend indoors.

painting, drawing and rearranging.

A big thank you to all of your suggestions regards our impending trip. I have yet to email some of you personally.

You may have noticed that I have changed the look of this blog a little. Because I am working on my website I felt the need to change things here a bit too. I decided to ditch the blog links on the side because I felt that I should add all of the blogs I visit and  really it would be just too long a list. So instead, I will be just changing the links of places I like to go on a weekly/monthly basis. You might see yourself there, but I will no doubt drop in to say hello regardless of the link. So don't get your nose out of joint and think I don't love you anymore if you can't see your blog name on the list. Alright!

Spring time in Paris.

I have a really good vibe about 2008. But I feel like it is getting away from me already. So typical of the first few months, they just fly by and before I know it Easter is here and I'm whinging about too much chocolate in the supermarket aisles. I have dedicated myself to a few projects, which will be revealed all in good time, plus I have already got a few freelance jobs and then there is the promised artworks and illustrations I need to be making. All good things, just wish it would move a little slower.

Maybe I'm feeling this way also because I'm heading OS for a week in April. Mr N is going for a business trip and I've decided that I really "NEED" to go with him. He can't have all the fun. Tickets are almost booked, and I promised myself I wouldn't say anything until I saw the itinerary in writing.

Well. I guess that didn't happen. Busting at the seams to tell someone. I'm also going to be bold and ask if you can help me with any suggestions of places to go and see. We are going to Amsterdam (day only) then Brussels, then Paris. I haven't been to any of these cities and given the limited time I don't really want to do too much of the touristy thing. Infact I have no desire to go to The Louvre or stand in any queue for longer than 5 minutes.

My decision has shocked my family.

"But you studied fine art. Don't you want to go?"

NO. Next trip.

I want to hang out in the Latin Quarter. Find fabric and craft shops. Go to flea markets. Experience good food and get a sense of what the locals do.

So if anyone can be of any assistance, that would be super. R&D via Google is taking too long and too many coffees.
