too much and not enough

I'm feeling a tad blogged out at the moment. Not sure what to say here right now in this space of mine. I've got so much happening, and I would normally be blogging away about it all. But I'm just feeling flat. Everything seems repetitive. The same. Everything seems to be a blur of work and life, both exciting and mediocre.

I feel like the world is rushing by...
Post1
I've been yearning to work more, but can't seem to find enough hours in the day or enough day light. This isn't my garment, but apart of some photography I am doing for a freelance job.
Post5
I also have these two scallywags to think about and have fun with. I've been conscious of that whole balancing act again, and trying to keep the life/work elements nice and even.

I keep on thinking about all that I didn't post about from my trip. Apart of me wants to say more, but mostly it is just all too hard, and I keep on asking myself why do I feel like I need to or want to?  And these questions lead onto me asking why do I have this blog?
I wanted to write more about some exciting shops. Like this shop that was closed in Brussels.  The one I didn't get the name of because my phone rang and a lurking gypsy woman kept me on my toes. I love those little dolls. Who makes them?

And this one just near it full of vintage posters and stationery. A unexpected find, but also closed.
Post4
At least I can end the night by finishing my Dandoy florentines. Wow, the biscuits here are bliss.

Post3
Maybe it is just April. This week I celebrate, my birthday, Miss M's birthday and our wedding anniversary and I have several friends' birthdays too. Perhaps I am enjoying it all so much I can't bring myself to blog for the moment. This momentary pause might be brief or long....I'll be back sometime soon when I am ready again.

Joyeux anniversaire in french
I'm late but the heart is there.I was in holidays. I celebrated on april 21st the sir's anniversary and tomorrow that of my son. Your daughter also likes the Ponies as Elisa. How did you create the cake ?
Continue your blog for the pleasure of our eyes.
Your drawings are always so light and graceful.
Best regards

But still you blogged it! Give yourself a birthday treat and take a break - we all need one, and the middle of the year is nearly upon us! Love your new prints!

I see that you have found out that the dolls are from maileg...http://www.maileg.com/..if you click on showcase and then the top RH corner square you will be able to see more under the Softdyr & Bamser link. I was lucky enough to have one given to me for Grace by her Grandma Maggie...although I wasn't even pregnant or thinking about it at the time! A subtle hint perhaps? At the time Maggie said it was because she knew it would appeal to me but now I'm beginning to wonder...!I think she bought it at a maternity/kids shop called MBC.(It's actually a rattle)

we miss you - do come back!

Such pretty images. I love the elephant poster!

Hi maileg is a danish company from my city. The designs are of Dorthe Mailil. She burns her little prototype dolly and thingies in my kiln before she gets them made in a more commercial way. She is really nise. She is actually a very good illustrator that started doing what she is doing now, when she couldnt find any good christmas decoration...well thats the story...have a nise weekend ...and by the way...cool white wine in my glass......

Just to let you know (if you don't already), the dolls/rattles are made by Maileg, a Danish company, I think. (They also do a 'pesky pirate' doll!) Love the blog, but taking a break is very important.

Happy celebrations to you and yours. I can relate to those feelings. Sometimes we just need to "be"....

I am guilty of always having to have something to work on. I find it hard to just sit and be still. So that is what I am working on. Just being still and just be.......

big hug.

hey t
enjoy the space and break
i will be here when you write again! ;)

Happy Birthday fellow Taurean! Eat lots of cake and enjoy the week of celebrations. We'll be here when you are ready to come back. That lurking Gypsy woman sounds interesting...

Happy birthday and Anniv! Hope to see you back here soon, when you feel ready and raring to blog again!

Ohhhhh, you will be missed! Enjoy your (quiet) downtime.

Aren’t we all going through these phases once and a while? I hope you have a wonderful week (weeks) with lots of celebrations. We have our wedding anniversary this week as well.
Congratulations!
Take your time, take a break, a deep breath and we hope you come back, one day, refreshed, full of inspiration and have sorted things out!

Love those little dolls too!

Sounds like you are in need of a blog holiday. Whenever blogging starts feeling like a chore, you know it's time for a break :-) Enjoy all the celebrations to come and sending best wishes for your upcoming birthday!

I can highly recommend the blog break - take care!

I loved your photo of 'blur'. I think I like it so much because it beautifully describes how I feel. (Stop my life, I want to get off!)

happy bday and anniversary. you appear to be in good company regarding the blogging blues. indeed its a bit overwhelming at times to always have something grand to share. enjoy your hiatus with your family and your time to refresh. cozy up and make some wonderful art. in the big picture, there is no hurry.

Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary. I have an anniversary this week too. It's a couple of days after Miss Princess and the Pea turning 17 so often gets looked over. I know, I know. This malaise is attacking bloggers up and down the coast. I think it's the rain. I went to bed yesterday and nothing I expected to get done actually got done. Nuttin', nadda. And today's not going that well either. The work v life balance is becoming the awake v sleep balance. I feel like I just need more sleep, or rest. I too had great intentions of writing more about my travels last month, but nope. Nothing there either. I'll try, try, try to do better tomorrow.

I think everyone needs a blogging break at some point. Just go with it, and do what makes you happiest. It's crazy to not enjoy your 'real' life because you are worrying about your 'virtual' life. Everyone understands, and we'll all be here when you return! Take care, and happy birthday :)
Bec

I can relate also *sigh* maybe it's the planatary alignment - maybe just not enough sleep, who knows...?

I truly hope that you find your centre again soon - I'll miss you in you absence here, but understand the need :)

I've just gone through a blog & creative slump and this morning I woke and felt like I could conquer the world. My mind is racing with new ideas and my fingers can't keep up. I would like to be like a turtle... slow and steady.
Joni

I hope your "blues/discontent" pass soon and you are finding yourself feeling productive, creative and bloggy again. I cherish your posts and gladly give you time to recompose for yourself and your little ones and us. But do come back sometime.
Happy Birthday and
Happy Anniversary!!

Happy birthday! Beautiful scallywags and shop windows.

Sounds like a bad case of back-from-trip-itis. It always takes me a while to settle and feel like my life is mine and under control again.

Take your time - we'll be here when you feel more like blogging.

I know exactly how you feel. I never put many of my travel notes or photos in my blog...just never got around to it and we were so busy when we finally got back.

Not much blogging happening for me either. Hoping the mood will pass

I feel the same way. Maybe it's the spring. Maybe it's the spring the still hasn't come and I'm tired of the the cold grey weather.

who knows.

Do come back, though. Happy birthday!

(those dolls are beautiful!)
