on my desk

have joined 'on my desk this wednesday' as seen through a few blogs and I think it might have started here.(?)

I love this work day. I am always so eager to take the kids to school/daycare and hide myself in the studio.

Post1

I'm working on new artwork. Some of which is for an up and coming exhibition in May in Adelaide.  Apart from that, not a lot to say, just boringly busy, so I will get back to it!

I love the green and blue and rugged up look of these little chaps or chappesses. They're just adorable, as is all your work. I am about to do a fundraiser with my Girl Guide unit and ask local artists for unfinished art, or art that has sat around unsold or unloved for some time, or even sketches or pages from sketch books for an art auction. I don't want finished art, I want art that's been part of a process. The unit, leading up to the exhibition will do some workshops on simple art processes - potato prints, pin hole photography, etc, and we'll auction our own works too. Do you think artists mind these requests? Is there a good way to ask?

this is really neat tiel! i hope your illustrations are a big hit! you are amazing. any matryoshkas in the making? i can't wait for kennedy to start day care so i will have a little more time for sewing :)
ps: chapeuzinho vermelho did not want to carry her basket! i tried though....but she has a little mind of her own.

Boringly busy is what life is made up of. ;-)

Best wishes on the upcoming show.

Busy is great & the portraits are really lovely. Thanks for playing along.

I love the top row of girls portraits, I think the open eyes are more expressive than the "dot" eyes, and the colours are perfect, beautiful! will we see any of these in your Etsy shop?

LOVE the little portraits!
