not today

today was meant to be a work day. My daycare mum had to cancel.

So Miss M and I are hanging out (quite literally..cheeky monkey) as best we can. I've relocated my computer to the "outdoor studio!" to be closer to her....and i don't have to walk as far to every little drink/food/volume on TV/craft request.

dotty dolls

this could be the laziest post I've ever written.

But I am enjoying the absence of words.

Another design for Sprout design fabrics...final selection to come next.

Little Nesters

Remember the post about the fabric design I was participating in for Sprout Design?

Well, since then, I have been playing around with the design that was chosen because I needed to also design a coordinating fabric. So what you saw originally isn't going to be the final design.

Do you want to see it?

Well I will show you all in good time. In the meantime I thought I would just tease you a little with some of the other designs I submitted. Colours and proportions for all of these will be finalised/changed. Showing them in in black and white is a little boring I think.

If you have any questions about the release of the range then go to One Small Room website for more info for now.

This one is called Little Nesters.

Lotta, Pony girl and Patricia.

finally I have a few moments on this mother's day to catch up on my very long list of things to do. I'm enjoying my day by the way. Lovely little presents received. Breakfast in bed, followed by tickles with both the kiddies. I can't escape the washing that is heaped up in piles everywhere and I don't trust anyone else in the household to do it!

So before the little munchkins come home from their bike rides in the park with Mr N, I will get back to the list.

Now available in the shop are 3 original paper dolls, Lotta, Pony girl and Patricia.

wool tease

I'm stuck as to what to write here.

This is my third attempt.

I just have too much to think about and promises to myself that still need completing.

I've been taking plenty of photos of wool for a client. Bags full of yarn in all different colours and shapes are sitting here looking at me...oh it is like bags full of lollies or sweets sitting around waiting to be eaten.

Except I have to give them back in perfect condition.

It's torture I tell you. But I am having fun.

Oh, and to satisfy all you woolly freaks out there, these balls are from the Rich More range. Mohair, Count 5.

plastic pony party

I'm not really back yet from my blogging break. I'm still catching up on real life in so many ways. But I couldn't let this event skip by without a mention. Miss M turned four this week and we had a lovely day celebrating with her.
Last year she loved mermaids, and this year she loves ponies..you know those awful, plastic colourful cartoon ponies that make me want to be sick every time I see them on TV! How am I going to survive the Barbie years??

I cursed and complained as I made a cake for her. She really wanted a pony cake, but I would rather have chopped my hands off than attempt anything of the sort. I hate baking cakes!!! My mum who has been staying with us made the actual cake, and the night before the party, I worked up the stamina to decorate it as a rainbow. Note the extra ponies on the board.....that is as far as I could go! I think the expression on her face told me that it was a success, even if she only ate the icing and sugar from the top.

Happy birthday missy moo.

And thank you mum for all your help. Look at these lovely party bags she made.
