mother's honesty
remember the monster truck quilt I made under duress? Well it not only impressed my son, but also the team at Homespun Magazine who asked if they could include it in their latest edition. There's also a little blurb about me too. Thanks Homespun. And don't you love a mother's honesty!!!! My mother said 'gee that isn't the most flattering photo of you'. thanks mum. Yes my hair is still wet and it was taken by my then 4 year old!!!!
What do you expect?

It's a beautiful quilt- congratulations on the magazine feature!

is there ever a good photo of any of us? But you look do look stylish and creative and interesting.
And what does the young man who commissioned the quilt feel about all this then?

What a coincidence! I got given that issue of Homespun for my birthday today and as I was reading the article on you, I was thinking that the name sounded familiar.
Love the quilt you have made. A fantastic idea to keep your child's art work too.

WOW, I know yet another famous celebrity. :-)
Your layout in Homespun is wonderful. I've always loved that quilt and the fact that your son helped design it. Your photo is lovely and perfect for Homespun magazine and the fact a 4 year old took the photo makes it that much more charming! Congrats lovely lady, it's good to see you receiving accolades for your everyday "homespun" qualities.
Blessed Be,
Teresa aka Tess

Congratulations Tiel, two spread-sheets in Home-spun! Remember the quilt and your story. They are both great!
Mothers and comments, I can tell you! My mum has those phrases like, well thát dresses off, ... not what you wore the other day.. did you change the colour of your hair?.. I liked the one before far better.. Mothers, what would we do without them though..?!

Congratulations on the Homespun feature - it's an awesome quilt. I know what you mean about those wonderful comments that only a mother can make. My own mother's are most often along the lines of "Oh, you've decided to wear that have you?" Subtle but deadly!

Congratulations!!! What a fantastic spread - and I can't see a thing wrong with that photo - to me you just look happy and kinda arty. And how lovely that it was taken by your 4 year old!

A blurb? That looks like a three page spread. Hey there famous lady. Wonderful. And I like the photo.

There's been a lot of crafty people from blogland in magazines of late. Well done. The quilt looks great, and I think your mum's wrong. It's a great photo by a future portraiture artist, I'm sure.
