Hippeastrums that is.
Well at least I think so. I often see them in gardens that look like they are tended by old people.
Until I moved here. The lady, {who was uhum, a few years older than me} who lived here and created the garden really did an amazing job. Her choice and positioning of plants has been exceptional and I am now a fan of the big, in your face, show-stopping, Hippeastrum.
And after what seems like months I have finally taken hold of my SLR and ditched my iphone for some up close and personal snaps. I'm always amazed how I can take so many photos of just one thing. But I love the structure, the shapes, and the colours that are discovered through the lens.

I am a fan too. Still find it hard to picture them in a garden though.

Those red ones are so much more beautiful than the usuals, great colour!
