I've been starting a new mini book..trying to get it ready as a father's day present in September. I still need to bind all the books that I have started. Most Saturdays the children will spend a few hours with their dad so I can get some 'me' time. It mostly ends up being 'grocery' time. This book tells a story of the morning he took them out to a building site to see and sit in a digger. Got to get it finished now.
I started to make these mini books when I was introuced to scrapbooking. I don't create a lot of pages in the popular sense of scrapbooking. I try to keep things simple..not too much embellishing. I love artist's books. My days in printmaking introduced me to some amazing limited editioned books. So it is my intention to create a mini books using fabrics and papers about special events in our life. I think I'll keep the pages for everyday things...quicker ....easier.
This one is a celebration of Miss M's birthday.
And this one is actually finished. Master A's 3rd birthday. All I have to do is the first birthdays and all those wonderful other 'firsts'. I hope to give the children these books when they are older..maybe 18th or 21st birthday. I will add more in my pages section of the photo album.

Tiel, I'm not a scrapbooking fan, but I must say i LOVE those books. Such a beautiful keepsake for your children, done with individuality and flair!
