I'm on a mini moopy mission. This pattern from neststudio has been around for a little while as you may know. I just love them.
After reading Ali's blog, I discovered that she too is in love with these little creatures, so much so that she has set herself on a charity endeavour. She plans to sell some fabric to make these little delights at a craft fair with donations going to her chosen charity.
She is looking for volunteers to send some fabric, so I will do this part of my mission this coming week. Of course, I had to make one.....or two.....to see what was involved and how much material was required..any excuse!.
The first one (far right) was made whilst watching a video. She is a little lopsided and her seams are a
little messy, her legs and ears aren't in the right spot....but she still ooozes love and character.
The second, made this morning...remember I'm on a mission here....is a slightly improved version, with minor scars on his right side.
They are a little fiddly to make, but I just love the idea of using up bits of fabric. So, I'm thinking this could be a lovely Christmas gift idea for lots of little friends. The rest of my Sunday is waiting for me to sew, sew, sew.
What a great mission you have set for yourself. I love that their ears are a little bit lop sided, it makes them much more personable and adorable.
Cheers, Louise
